What’s with the name?
“Paragon” means excellent and the moon was once revered as an ancient symbol for creativity. Hence, Paragon Moon means excellent creation.
What about your logo, is it supposed to mean something?
Yes, a good logo always has a strong, albeit it sometimes not-so-obvious, message. As mentioned above, the symbol of the moon represents creativity. The cog wheel, or sprocket, is something you might see in a mechanism, like a clock, and is symbolic for strategy, work, thought, concept, mechanics. Put together, the two represent creativity and strategy working together.
Your site is nice, but your style does not reflect my personal preferences. Why should I work with you?
A good graphic designer is not limited to one style or another. I can design for a banker as much as a I can for a rock star. My Paragon Moon site is designed for my primary target market: Small Business. However, I have other web sites reflecting various design styles. Just ask, I’d be happy to provide you with examples of my abilities. If you still do not feel we are well matched, I’ll gladly refer you another respected and reputable designer.
Why should a Small Business bother with Graphic Design?
Graphic Design is the applied art of delivering a message utilizing images and/or text. Everything needs graphic design: Business cards, candy wrappers, posters, CD covers…the list is endless. How much for a logo?
Logos are custom designed for each Client. What one Client needs will never be the same as what another Client needs. Please call, costs vary depending on your requirements and budget. We also offer complete Identity Packages.

Branding can most commonly be defined as the “look and feel” by which your company is recognized in the marketplace. It usually involves a trademark symbol (logo), but in fact encompasses much more. A business’ brand is the primary visual projector that every successful business relies on to be recognized and remembered. It lends your business credibility and triggers memorability in the general market. The most effective branding is done at the start of a new business venture, when colors and symbols are carefully selected to represent the company. Just like the methods by which you conduct business, branding is what differentiates you from your competitor. Hiring a Professional Graphic Designer in this area is the most solid investment you can make in your business. Graphic Designers study business and evolving consumer trends on an ongoing basis. If your Business Identity is designed correctly at the conception level, you will likely be much more successful in your marketing efforts. How are you different from other designers?
I can design in any style. Most designers have a particular style that translates into most of their projects. When you choose Paragon Moon, your project will always look unique and custom to you, and will never “mirror” the look of any other company. This is especially important if you want to stand apart from your competition.
Does Paragon Moon provide printing services?
Yep. We design it, print it and ship your products to your door for convenience and expedience.
Do you charge by the hour?
No, not for design services. We want you to be completely comfortable with how we operate and hourly rates only complicate things. All our projects are estimated in writing on a per-project basis. We are happy to provide up to three estimates free of charge for any one Client.
Do you provide marketing consultations?
Yes. For consultations we do charge an hourly rate. We can chat via telephone, Skype or in person if you are local. Please inquire.
Ok, so how does this whole thing work?
Graphic design projects and costs vary in tremendous measure based on the Client’s needs. Odds are you will need a custom quote based on your requirements. Let’s talk first. I’ll gladly provide you with a ONE HOUR FREE consultation. If after that you would like hire Paragon Moon, I’ll provide you with my Terms of Service (written agreement) and written estimate. I commence work upon receipt of deposit. For smaller projects (under $2500), I generally charge 50% up front and 50% upon completion. For ongoing work or large projects (over $2500), I operate on an incremental billing scale (for example, 33% down/33% mid-project/33% upon completion).
